ABOUT US
The Peace Centre stands as a steady pillar of support for the Franschhoek community and surrounding areas. We provide reliable legal advice and practical assistance to individuals who cannot afford representation but still deserve justice, dignity, and a fair chance.
Our work is grounded in values that have stood the test of time: transparency, integrity, accountability, peace, justice, diversity, and inclusion. Mediation creates a safe, structured space where both parties speak openly, be heard, and work toward solutions that are fair and practical. Our role is to guide the conversation, keep it respectful, and help everyone move toward common ground.
Whether the issue involves family conflict, co-parenting, neighbour disputes, or financial disagreements, mediation allows people to find clarity and closure while preserving dignity.

At the Peace Centre, our heart is to serve the community, especially those who have nowhere else to turn.
We operate as a pro bono law clinic, which means our services remain free for clients who truly cannot afford legal assistance. At the same time, we ask those who are able to contribute to cover a modest fee. This helps us keep the doors open, support our staff, and continue serving the most vulnerable with dignity.
We never turn anyone away because of money; our aim is simply to keep the balance fair, sustainable, and rooted in compassion.
Each client's situation is assessed with understanding, and fees are handled with honesty and respect.
Membership at the Peace Centre is designed to keep our community connected, informed, and supported.
By becoming a member, individuals contributr to the sustainability of our work while gaining access to ongoing guidance, priority consultations, educational workshops, and important legal updates.
